add ons are extra paper types you can add to your box!! they are 10 blank ACEO cards + 10 penny sleeves (no additional envelopes / post cards)
Canvas - actually canvas, best for oil/ acrylic painters
Bristol - smooth, best for pen, ink, charcoal, graphite, marker, and acrylic marker
Watercolor - this is what already comes with the kit but you can double your amount of cards! water color paper is the most versatile and works great with all mediums. of course it is best suited for watercolor and gouache.
